The idea

The city as sealed labyrinth. Empty glass towers, whispers in stone, “no exit, no door.” Streets repeat; lights are hollow suns—cold, dead. Walls breathe silence; speech returns no echo, only dust’s hum. Corridors forever; windows open onto nothing; sky a cracked black mirror. Dark electro needs little more than this claustrophobia to feel complete.

“I walk among cities / Lost / No exit.” The lyric is almost a map of depression or of late-capitalist non-place—either reading fits the dead suns. Touch finds no dialogue; shadow follows shadow. Beauty here is anti-scenic: the sublime of being unable to leave, the elegance of total enclosure. One does not escape the poem; one recognizes having already lived a version of its streets.
