Lyrics

I met her down by the blackened stream,
Where the dusk devours the day,
Her eyes were thorns, her lips a dream,
And silence paved her way.

She said, “The roses speak in red,”
And pressed one to her chest.
“But love,” she sighed, “is born to bleed—
It cannot long find rest.”

I brought her wine, I brought her flame,
I wrote her name in sand.
She kissed the wound, she cursed the blame,
And took me by the hand.

“Each petal hides a secret sin,”
She whispered with a smile.
“The bloom begins where knives dig in,
Stay with me for a while.”

The moon grew pale, the night grew still,
The forest held its breath—
She danced upon the chapel hill
And sang a hymn to death.

I held her close, I held her tight,
The wind began to howl.
I saw the blade, I felt the bite,
The sky began to scowl.

They found me there with bloodstained hands,
Beside the crimson flower.
They said, “He loved her past the end—
She bloomed, then claimed her power.”

Now every year, where wild things grow,
A single rose appears.
And lovers pass, but none will know
The cost of love and tears.

The idea
#

A dark folk tale in trance clothing: meeting by a blackened stream, eyes of thorns, roses that speak in red. Love “born to bleed,” petals hiding secret sin, bloom beginning where knives dig in. She dances a hymn to death on chapel hill; the blade is felt before it is understood.

Found with bloodstained hands beside a crimson flower—loved past the end; she bloomed, then claimed her power. Each year a single rose, cost unknown to passersby. Dark-uplifting vocal trance can gild the horror without canceling it. Beauty and predation share the same stem; the lyric knows it and still leans closer.
