The idea#
Cold self-ownership. Let them cry; good and bad dismissed as lie; belief and obedience left to others while the speaker takes and walks. Walls built, ties burned, truth dust, love lies—history to ash, hope rejected because pain is profitable.
Synthwave nocturne for a narrator who will not perform regret. “This short life—it’s only mine.” Driving pulse behind a morality of extraction. I am unsure whether we are meant to admire the hardness or flinch from it; the text offers no soft landing, only the clean cruelty of someone who has decided empathy is a tax.
