The idea#
The title is the whole myth: love found in sleep, executed by morning. Touch like fire, voice near, then “morning came—you disappeared.” Days are exile; nights are pilgrimage back toward a ghost of yesterday. Breath, heart, light reduced to shadow lost in night.
Uplifting trance can make that nightly hope feel vast rather than pathological. Praying the dream-figure will meet the eye again—Orpheus rewritten for the bedroom. I hear the cruelty of circadian love: the most real person is the one daylight forbids.
