Lyrics
You said you’d wait in the static glow
I searched the wires, but you let go
Your voice is fractured in the air
It lingers soft like you were there
Mmm… you were there…
Slipping through the dark, I swear…
Your name’s a glitch beneath my skin
A loop I fall, and fall again
You hum in chords I used to know
Now every beat just feels too slow
Caught in the pulse
Can’t move on
You’re the breath
in every song
I try to rise
but I’m below
Still—
drown in echo
I
drown
in
you
The idea#
Someone promised to wait in the static glow and then let go. What remains is fractured voice in the air, a name as glitch under the skin, a loop that keeps dropping the speaker below the line of rising. Trap’s dark, half-chill aggression suits a grief that does not shout so much as reverb.
“Drown in echo” is both diagnosis and destination. Every beat feels too slow; the other person hums in chords once shared. The final stutter—drown / in / you—collapses syntax the way obsession collapses time.
It is a small, sharp portrait of attachment as acoustic trap: you cannot move on because the room is still full of their return signal.
