Lyrics
You came through
Like a flame
Left the room
Without a name
I still breathe
What you left
In the walls
In my chest
You go pale
You go slow
Like a face
Under snow
I reach out
Nothing stays
Only light
Only haze
Was it real?
Was it mine?
Were you here
For a time?
Now your shape
Fills the air
I turn back
You’re not there
I still taste
What is gone
Like the night
Before dawn
You go pale
You go slow
Like a face
Under snow
I reach out
Nothing stays
Only light
Only haze
The idea#
Someone has left, but departure has not cleared the room. Breath remains in the walls and chest; a face recedes under snow; touch collapses into light and haze. “Afterimage” lives in that interval where the eyes know an absence before the body accepts it.
The lyric keeps reaching and finding only residue: shape in the air, taste before dawn, memory without proof. Berlin-school trance is a natural vessel for this suspended state, letting repetition behave like the mind returning to the same impossible question—was it real, and was it mine? Nothing stays, yet the trace keeps moving long after its source is gone.
